RESULTS - The Mens' 18 hole Stableford that was held on the weekend of the 2nd and 3rd of April was won by the in form Adam Daly with 44 points. It was great to see Mens' President Ross Andrew show that despite his recent unavoidable absence from golf, he is as competitive as ever, taking 2nd place with 40 points. Charlie O'Donnell took the prize for best gross score.
The men competed in another 18 hole Stableford on the
9th/10th of April, results to follow during the week.
MENS THURSDAY COMPETITIONS - Our Thursday competitions are up and running again, and members are requested to put their names down to sponsor. Our Thursday competition is open to members of other clubs with valid handicaps. Results - 31st March : 1st Michael McHale , 2nd Lochlainn Conboy, 2s club Charlie O'Donnell. 7th April : 1st Charlie O'Donnell, 2nd Michael O'Dowd, 3rd Adam Daly
GOOD FRIDAY SCRAMBLE - There will be a Scramble on Good Friday open to all members, names to be in for a draw at 6 pm, with shotgun start at 6.30. If this Scramble is well supported we may put on a few more Friday evening Scrambles during the year.
FIXTURES - We will be holding a fundraising competition
for the club over the Easter weekend. Our most valuable prize of the season, a
years free membership, will be played for on Sunday the 24th in our annual
"Voucher" competition. Your membership must be paid up to date to be
eligible to win this competition.
GREEN FEES/NEW MEMBERS - New members are always welcome in the club. We have some very competitive starter rates including Distance Member 185 euro, 1st year Beginner 170 euro, Under 18 60 euro, Under 30 275 euro. A full list is available on boylegolfclub.com. Our Green Fee is 15 euro.
WHATSAPP GROUP - The Mens section have a Whatsapp group which is used to communicate news with members and assist with making playing arrangements. All paid up male members over 18 are welcome to be part of this group. Please contact Jonathan Egan if you wish to join the Whatsapp group.=
