update 10th June

INTERCLUBS - Hard luck to our Seniors team who had a narrow loss Ballinamore Golf Club in the Connacht Seniors Tournament and also to our first-ever Mixed Fourball team, captained by Charlie O'Donnell who lost out to Co Sligo Golf Club.

Attention turns now to our Jimmy Bruen team, captained by Lochlann Conboy, who play their first round match against Co Sligo Golf Club next Sunday the 16th. There will be keen interest within the club in this match as we have not entered a team in this tournament for a number of years.

RESULTS - Men's Fourball Betterball Bank Holiday Competition - 1st Lochlann Conboy and Michael McHale 49 points, 2nd Terry Bright and Owen Garvin 41, 3rd Lorcan Egan and Mark Feehan 41.

FIXTURES -  Next Sunday ( the 16th of June) , there will be an 18 hole stableford for the men. The big fixture on the horizon however is the Men's' Presidents Prize on the 23rd of June. This year's President is Terry Canning.

The men's Thursday evening 12 hole competitions continue.

KING HARMON MATCHPLAY COMPETITION- The preliminary round of the King Harmon competition has been completed and the 1st round proper has to be completed by next weekend.

JUNIOR GOLF - This year's 6 sessions with teaching professional golfer Enda Murphy concluded on Saturday the 8th with great progress seen. Golfers are advised that they may see groups of children ( accompanied by an adult) on the course the next few Saturday mornings. They will be advised to let any adult golfers "play through", but please make allowances and exercise caution.
