On behalf of the players Liz Dwyer thanked the organisers and congratulated the club on a great weekend. Total funds raised to date were €4075.00
The Winter League prizes were presented on Sunday evening to Teams Heslin, Gaffney & McGuinn. Sean Heslin thanked Michael Rush for organising the competition and for an enjoyable three weeks of golf.
The September draw was won by Seamus & Marie Gallagher €70, runners up Claire/John Cryan & Ted Hestor €40 each. The October draw was won by Pat Conroy €70, runners up Margaret Egan & Mary McKeon €40 each. Thanks to all who took part and good luck in the November draw.
Competitions for this week are the weekly nine hole Monday – Saturday and next Sunday is an 18 Hole Par Three Competition with re-entry.
The following Club AGM’s take place in November. Ladies AGM Sunday November 1st, Mens AGM Sunday November 15th & Parent Club AGM Sunday November 22nd. Notices will be sent to members via email, text or post. The November Management Committee Meeting will take place on Wednesday November 4th.
The Club heard with great sadness last week of the passing of club member & fellow golfer James Shivnan following a short illness. James is fondly remembered and will be sadly missed. We extend our sympathy to Mary, Sarah, Emma, Marie and all the Shivnan Family. As a mark of respect Club Members held a guard of honour at the funeral in Ballyfarnon. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis
