Lewis Shaw was triumphant on this occasion with 36 points, just pushing Gerry Carty into second place on "countback". Update 24th September

DRAW - A number of supporters of the club draw will be glad to know that there is some money coming their way after we held a few overdue rounds of the draw in the clubhouse recently. Envelopes will be available for collection in the clubhouse or alternatively will be posted out. Congratulations to all the winners and a sincere thanks for participating in this valued fundraiser for the club.

COMPETITIONS - The competition on Sunday the 16th was an 18 hole strokeplay sponsored by Cooney's Centra. Thanks very much to Emer Cooney for sponsoring this competition. The winner was Sean Heslin with a 69 nett, Dave Purser was second with 70 and Mark Whelan came 3rd.

An 18 hole stableford  took place on Sunday the 23rd, sponsored by Brogans Totalhealth Pharmacy. Thanks very much to Pat Brogan for his sponsorship of this competition. This was the second last of the series of "Golfer of the Year" competitions and the results will be eagerly awaited by the top 5 in the "Order of Merit" who are Tom Kearney, Terry Canning, Charlie O'Donnell, Gerard O'Dowd and Vincent Egan. Prior to this competition, Tom was the clear leader with a total of 68 points accrued to date, followed by Terry with 52. 27 points separate the top 5 , so with a win in each of the last 2 competitions accounting for 15 points, there is still room for someone to "leapfrog" their way to the "Golfer of the Year" title!
The final competition in the "Golfer of the Year" series is an 18 hole stableford to take place next Sunday , the 30th.
