Results from last Sunday’s Holmpatrick Cup 1st Prize Charlie O’Donnell &Terry Canning, 2^nd Prize Brendan Gaffney & Jonathan Egan, 3^rd Prize John McGuinn & Pat Conroy. Thursday Mens Competition was won by Gerry O’Hara 26pts, 2^nd Owen Garvan 26pts, 3^rd Lorcan Egan 25pts. Fridays Scramble was won by Brendan Gaffney, Michael Reid, Mary Lombard & Michael Gilmartin.

Competitions for this week are the Mens Competition on Thursday a nine hole scramble on Friday, and the PGA Tankard on Sunday. Booking available on line. Please note all 3^rd round foursomes matches must be played by Saturday May 16^th at the latest. Matches not played will be decided by toss of a coin. King Harmon 1^st round matches to be played by May 30^th.

Date for your diary is the Committee Cup on Saturday/Sunday May 30th/31st. This is the first “Major” of the year and open to Ladies and Gents. Format is 18 hole stroke and the top ladies and gents will play a final nine holes on Sunday evening. There are two 18 hole qualifiers during May for those wishing to get cards in.

In ladies news there is a Rules Night open to all members on this Wednesday May 13th from 6.00/7.30. A representative from the I.L.G.U will attend.  Commiserations to the ladies Miele team who were beaten last Thursday evening by ‘Ballyhaunis and to the Ladies Challenge Cup who were narrowly beaten by ‘Ballyhaunis on Saturday.

Best Ladies Team Pauline Lennon, Anne Mullen, Christine Fowley & Anita Carty (84pts), Nearest the Pin Terry Canning, Longest Drive Aidan Grealish Strokestown. Winners of “Hit the Green” were 1st Gary Carty, 2nd Pat Conroy. Raffle prizewinners were 1st Mary Lombard (Plant), 2nd Christine Foley (Candle Stand), 3rd Terry Canning (€40 Club Voucher),  4th Mary Keenan (Lamp), 5th Kathleen Hanmore (Btl Wine)
