Update 22nd October

RESULTS - David Wynne was the winner of the 18 hole Stableford competition played on the weekend of the 20th of October with 41 points. Second place went to Captain Terry Canning  with 40 points and Paul Connolly took the third spot with 37 points. Patrick Egan claimed the prize for best gross score.
This competition doubled up as the final of the qualifying rounds for the King Harmon matchplay competition and the final 8 have now been decided on as well as the "match-ups". This is where proceedings become interesting, with 3 rounds of "knockout" matchplay. The quarter-finals will consist of the following matches : Sean Heslin vs Mark Whelan,  David Wynne vs Liam Mullaney, Terry Canning vs Paul Connolly, Brendan Gaffney vs Dave Purser. Well done to new member Mark Whelan on continuing to put together some solid rounds of golf and making the knockout rounds. These matches can be played any day of the week but have to be completed before Monday the 5th of November, otherwise a coin toss will decide any unplayed matches. The semi-finals will be played within the following week and the final the week after that.
Our Winter 9 hole competition is proving very popular. The winners of the first 3 weeks are , respectively, Charlie O'Donnell, Michael Rush and Liam Mullaney.

FIXTURES - The competition for the Bank Holiday Weekend is the "Drumderrig Cup" which will be played as a Fourball Shambles. Many thanks to Paula Cull of Drumderrig Nursing Home for sponsoring. The competition can be played on the Saturday, Sunday or Monday and can be re-entered if desired.
The mens' Winter 9 hole is ongoing on a weekly basis and can be played any day from Monday to Saturday.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING - The AGM for the mens' section takes place on Sunday the 11th of November at 5 pm in the clubhouse.
